Designer's Choice Challenge - Repeat Impressions

It's time for a new Challenge over at the House that Stamps Built
The Challenge is called Designer's Choice.
Here's how the "Designer's Choice Challenge" will work!
All of the fabulous design team members for Repeat Impressions
will be assigned a Wednesday, and we get to set the
"theme" for the challenge!  The Theme for this
week's DCC is hosted by Robin and she
is challenging the Rock Stars to do a theme challenge - ANIMALS.

Here is my Animal theme card:

For my card today, I used "8120-K, Scruffy Puppy" and
the sentiment "8111-F, Dogs Are Not".  They were both
stamped onto Cryogen Card stock and the Scruffy Puppy was
colored with my copics.  I used one of my new dies to cut
the images out and for the mat behind them.  I added a bow and
some pearls. Hope you like it !!!!!

This was actually my 2nd card for this challenge, I spilled
some tea on my first card and had to redo it....   Instead
of taking a picture of my card on Monday evening,
I decided to wait til Tuesday to get a picture of it in the
daylight, so I didn't even have a picture of it....
Oh well, live and learn
that open cups are not ALLOWED in your craft room....
I think this one turned out better than the first one.

Take a peek at what the rest of the DT has created for
this great Challenge.

This was a fun card to make.  I never made one of these before, but I really like it, so be on the lookout for more Criss Cross Cards.... My card today uses Sweet Stamps Scarecrow stamp.  It is stamped onto Cryogen card stock and colored in with my copics.  All I did was follow directions on how to make a Criss Cross Card from HERE.  It was pretty easy to do.....  I added ribbon going around my card and a bow with a pearl brad in the center.  I kept my insert blank so that I can add whatever I want to it before I send it off.  Hope you like it !!!!!

Repeat Impressions Stamp of The Week

Repeat Impressions "Stamp of the Week" is on their blog "The House that Stamps Built", and the "4217-K Red Fox" is the featured stamp! The details to this offer is only available on their blog! Also, check out the rest of the design teams' fabulous creations with this fun stamp.

I have a hard time when it comes to using any of the scenic stamps.  Guess I need to get more stamps so I can practice.  Anyway, I stamped my Red Fox onto cryogen card stock and colored him in with my copics.  I cut around my colored image so that I could pop him up on my background, which was done by stamping the "1613-J, Summer Tree" 2 times using my Kaleidacolor ink pad.  I also used the "4009-G, In all things" sentiment.  I added a piece of ribbon and some pearls.  As I said using any stamp that is for scenic isn't my favorite thing....  Hope you all like my Red Fox....

Be sure to check out the creations by some of the other RI Rock Stars
below to get more inspirations!!!!

This week's challenge at Totally Stampalicious is Just Wing It. We want to see a butterfly, fairy, or anything with WINGS on your card!!

Check out my creation:

Today I used Fairy Stella.  I really like that these stamps come with an image and several sentiments for you to use on your creation.  I always have a hard time with sentiments, I never know what to use or to say.  Fairy Stella is stamped onto Cryogen Card stock and colored in with my copics.  My card shape is called a Criss Cross Card.  You pull the piece of ribbon at the top and the insert comes out.  You can add what ever message you want to the insert.  I have a few more of those awesome butterflies that I used on my Child's Bday card last week, so I may go back and add one to this card. If I do, I'll add another picture of it to this post.....

What If Wednesday - Repeat Impressions Sketch Challenge

It’s WHAT IF? Wednesday
and time for a new sketch challenge!
The sketch that Wendy designed for the Rock
Stars to follow is:

Here is my take on the Sketch:

For my card today, I used "3211-M, O Christmas Tree". When I assembled my card, I rotated the sketch.  I stamped it using black ink onto some really shiny white card stock. I used some of my dies to cut out my image and for the mat behind it and for the circles. My DP is from the Basic Grey Dasher collection.  I added some lace, a lacy bow and some red pearls. Hope you like it!!!!

Head on over to the House That Stamps Built blog and
see what the rest of the Rock Stars have created with
this great sketch.  While you are there why not enter
a creation that you have done following the sketch.

The rules are really simple......
Your card doesn’t even have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps,
but if you would like to include our designs we would really love to see them!
Plus you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing
for using our stamps in your submissions! Simply create a
card based on the sketch, upload your card to your blog
or Splitcoast gallery, then link your card to this post
Have Fun and I can't wait to see all the wonderful creations.

Sweet Stamps Anything But a Card Challenge

Today our challenge at Sweet Stamps blog is Anything But A Card.

Anyone can enter, but if you use a Sweet Stamps rubber stamp you get two entries into the challenge for a chance to win a $20 shopping spree. Visit the design team blog and you will see what everyone on the Design team has done.
For the challenge today, I decided to make a book mark.  I got some new stamps from Sweet Stamps at the Westminister Stamp Show last weekend, and decided to use them.  I used 4 stamps on my book mard today.  On the Front of my book mark, I used "Stuffed Duck", "Rain" and "Puddle".  I stamped Stuffed Duck onto Cryogen white Card stock and then stamped it again onto printer paper to create a mask.  I laid the mask on top of my image on the card stock and stamped the puddle using Klondike Blue Shades dye Ink.  I kept the mask over my Duck and stamped the Rain also using Klondike Blue Shades dye Ink several times so it looks like Stuffed Duck is in the rain....  I then colored Stuffed Duck with my Copics and the puddle too.  I then stamped "Under the Weather" sentiment onto another piece of Cryogen White Card Stock in black ink.  I used my Cheery Lynn Inverted Scalloped Coved Rectangle Stacker dies to cut out my colored Stuffed Duck and my sentiment.  I traced around the die to get my mat's.  I then layered them together and attached a piece of ribbon between my blue layers.

Here is a peek at the back of my Book Mark:

When I was sick and in the hospital 2yrs ago for emergency surgery, my sister brought me some books to read while I was in the hospital recovering from my surgery.  So I thought this would be a great thing to give with a book or magazine to someone who is sick.  It sure would cheer them up !!!!

Be sure to visit Sweet Stamps blog and see what the rest of the team has created for you.   And please join in on the fun!

Child's B-day at Totally Stampalicious

This week's challenge at Totally Stampalicious is a Child's B-day.  We are actually combining this week's challenge with some sneak peeks for some of the new stamps that are being released on Thursday.  The sneak peek today is for "Fairy Ava", artist Jodie Mackrell .  As I LOVE fairies, this was an awesome stamp for me to use.

Check out my creation:

I used my 2 favorite colors together for this card, purple and peachy.  I used my copics to color Fairy Ava using the feathering technique using 2 different colors.  I used a border punch for my purple strip and added some ribbon in the middle and added a low bow with a cupcake brad in the center.  I used some of my dies to cut out Fairy Ava and the sentiment.  I had these pretty butterflies in my stash for a very long time and when I saw this awesome stamp and the sentiments, I decided to pull them out and add a couple to my card.  Hope you like it.....

Check back tomorrow to see another sneak peek for another awesome stamp that is being released on Thursday....

Don't forget to check out the Totally Stampalicious blog to see what the other DT members have created for inspiration....  And don't forget to stop by the Totally Stampalicious Store to get some of these awesome stamps......

The Theme for this
week's DCC is hosted by Harriet and she
is challenging the Rock Stars to do a Style Challenge -
"A one layer CAS card".

OH MY was this a really hard challenge for me to do.
I like to add layers upon layers on my cards.....
But I managed to finally figure out what to do,
Here it is:

This was a challenge, but I did it.... No added layers or even
any embellies... I thought about adding some ribbon, but I held
off.....

I used this great stamp that I just got at the
Westminister, MD show called "6207-J, Good Trade".
I used the Spellbinders Lacey Squares and the Large Squares
and layered them to create a "frame" for my
stamp.  I then stamped my image using
Kaleidacolor Berry Blaze ink pad.
Pretty simple, Huh??? Let me know what you
all think of it....

Take a peek at what the rest of the DT has created for
this great Challenge.

Whimsy Stamps "Frog Friend"

 Rain, Rain, go away.......
I am really tired of all this rain we here in PA are getting.  The flooding is really bad. It is the 4th worst flooding on record......

For my Whimsy Stamps post for this week, I used a new digital image that was just released on Sept 1.  The image is from Crissy and is called "Frog Friend".  I really love the digis that Crissy does, they are perfect for coloring with copics.

Here is my Card:

As this is a boyish image, I left it pretty plain.  My image is printed onto Cryogen Card Stock and colored with my copics.  The clouds are done with a cloud template.  The only embellishment that I added were some red buttons.  I really need to go and get some Boyish embellies...  I know there are some of those buttons that come in soo many shapes and designs....

If you go to the Whimsy Stamps Store from now until Sunday, Sept 11th, you can get 25% off on select items....  There are some really awesome stamps and images in the store....

For more Whimsy inspiration, go check out what the other DT members have done at the Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Blog.  And don't forget Whimsy now has a challenge blog, so check that out as well, HERE.....
