Etsy Inspired Challenge - The Stamping Boutique

The Stamping Boutique is
sponsoring the Etsy Inspired Challenge blog today.
We were to go to
and find an item or two that inspires you and to create
a project based on that item.

Here is the item that caught my eye:

I just love the Teal and purple colors.....
with a splash of yellow mixed in.....

And here is my project based on this item:

The image I used is called "Frolicking Fairies" from
My sentiment is from Heartfelt Creations.

Here is a close up of my image:

The purples and teal colors in the Etsy picture is what caught
my eye.  This is such an awesome color combo
and I just had to try them together.
Of course it is a color combo that I would
never have thought would look great together,
so I really did get inspired to try something new....

Here is one last look at my card:

Isn't it great....

for more inspiration from the rest of the Design
Team.

Twirling Fairy

This is my very first post using a digital image from The Stamping Boutique.  If you have been following my blog, you will know that I have been selected to be on their Design Team.
This is so exciting....

For my first card, I have used an image called "Twirling Fairy".  I LOVE fairies, so this one really caught my eye.

I printed the image on Cryogen Iridescent white card-stock and colored her with my copics.

Here is a close up of the image:

This card will be entered into the following challenges:

Birds Spring Trinkets

It's Thursday, and that means it's a new release day at Whimsy Stamps.
Meljen's Designs is releasing some new digital images TODAY !!!!!

Today, I have used Meljen's Designs "Birds Spring Trinkets"
which can be found HERE in the Whimsy Stamps store.

I had a lot of fun making this card.  I was trying to make a very "springy" card
and think I accomplished that.
I also used some of my new Wild Orchid Crafts Roses that I just got in the mail today.  These are
really great, so be on the lookout for more cards from me using them.
As usual, my image was printed out on Cryogen card stock and colored
with my copic markers.  I also added some "bling" to my card with stickles.

And here's a close up of "Birds Spring Trinkets":

"Thanks A Bunch"

Today is Thursday
and that means another wonderful new release of digital images
from Melissa Jenkins of Meljen's Designs for Whimsy Stamps.
These new digital images can be found at the Whimsy Stamps store HERE.

Today I have chosen to use the "Swirly Daisy Pot" digital image.

I made a "Thanks A Bunch" card.
This image can be used for so many different things, occasions, etc.
As most of my cards usually have sparkle to them, I added some sparkle to the
swirls around the flowers using the Viva Decor Glitter Liner in Holo Iridescent color.
This is pretty much a clear with glitter in it. This was my first time using this product
and I love it.

I have not been  doing much to the insides of my cards, but I've seen
others that have and decided to give it a shot.  Here is the inside
of my "Thanks A Bunch" card.
I just took some of the same papers that I used on the front and layered them,
then added some of my favorite pearls.  I even made a bow and
attached a charm that I added a "Thanks A Bunch" rub on to.
Here's a close up of my bow and charm:

Hope you will take the time to visit some of my fellow DT blogs to see what they
have created with the new Meljen's Designs release today.

New Beginnings

The House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge blog is having a "New Beginnings"  Challenge.
I decided to join in the challenge as I have quite a few "New" things going on in this "New" year.

For the challenge I decided to try my hand at a shaker card.  On the House Mouse yahoo group that I belong to, one of the members made shaker New Year's cards.  So as I have never made one before, I thought that would be a great project to do.

So here's my "Shake Me Up" card to Celebrate my
new beginnings.

This challenge is for "New Beginnings", well I have a few "new" things going on.  I started this New Year as a "new" designer for the Whimsy Stamps Digital DT.  YEAH !!!!!!

This is a close up of my House Mouse image that I used.
(Sorry about the glare from the flash)
