Little Angel Rachel

Elisabeth Bell is holding a GDT call for her digital stamp line and I love her stamps, so I thought I would make a card and give it a shot. This is only my second time that I've tried out for a design team call.  I want to get myself a bit motivated in the New Year and do some more with my card making and thought this would be a great way to start. Besides, it was fun to just create a card because I wanted to.  There were two different sketches that you could use, it was hard to decide which one that I wanted to use, but I chose this one as I thought it best suited my image.

The image I used is Rachel, Little Angel and is available here.  All of Elisabeth Bell images are so great to color and I love them all.  I think I have most all of her digital stamps now.   The papers I used are Basic Grey Sugar Rush.  I love these papers, or should I say most all of the Basic Grey papers.

Here's a close up picture of my image: (you can see the sparkle of the cryogen white cardstock)
The image was printed out with my laser printer onto Cryogen White cardstock, my favorite cardstock to use with my copic markers.  And of course colored with Copic Markers.

Wish me LUCK !!!!!!

More Christmas cards

The month of December has gone too quick for me.  I haven't had any time to update my blog, for those that are following me, I'm sorry.   So for right now I'm going to post the pictures of my Christmas cards that I finally finished this past weekend and got them all in the mail by Monday and I will come back later and add all the details for each card.

The first card is done is pinks.  I really like how this one turned out.  This one was sent to my aunt in MD.  Hope she likes it...  I used a digital stamp called "Christmas Fairy Mint". It is from Mo's Digital Pencil .  The image is printed onto cryogen white cardstock and colored with my copic markers.

This next card is a shaped card using my new Spellbinders Grand Calibur cutting machine and my new Grand Nestabilities Labels 1 dies.  I love this new machine and these dies (I only have 4 of the new Grand dies so far, but more are on the way)....   The image I used on this card is called "Mollie Mittens Christmas".  This image is another fabulous one from Marina Neira for Tickled Pink Stamps

The next 2 cards are another favorite of mine.  The digital image is another one from Mo's Digital Pencil called "Angel with Kitten".  The angel is colored in gold and the next card in green.  Such a sweet image....

This next card is another card using "Mollie Mittens Christmas" from Tickled Pink Stamps.

This next card is sort of a "manly" card.  This one was sent to my brother in law in IL.  I used another digital image from The Stamping Bazaar called " Bikkie's  Snowman".  It is another image created by Marina Neira.

The next card is another card using "Angel with Kitten" from Mo's Digital Pencil.  This time she is colored in red.

That's all the Christmas cards for this year.  Hope you all have a MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!!!!

Polar Bear Christmas

Please bear with me as I add a few of the Christmas cards that I made this year to my blog.   I made a total of 14 cards, each one is different, but I won't post all of them today....

This first card is my favorite one that I made this year.  The card is made using a digital stamp from Whimsy Stamps called "Warm Winter Wishes" created by Crissy Armstrong.  This stamp can be found here .  I really LOVE this image and how it colored up real easy with my Copic markers.

I did a bit of experimenting with colors on the polar bear as in real life they really aren't plain white.  I did alot of shading and then took my white Inksentials pen and drew in fur lines on the polar bear.  I'll have to try and crop the picture so you can see the bear up close. (Look for another picture tomorrow).   This card will be going to my neighbor, the one that got me started in scrapbooking. Hope she doesn't look at my blog and see it before I get it to her, but if she does, I hope she likes it.....

CLOSE UP OF POLAR BEAR

I am entering this card into a challenge or two.  My 2nd and 3rd challenges to date....  So keep your fingers and toes crossed for me.....

One challenge is at "The Fuzzy Wuzzy Challenges".

The challenge is  Christmas Something or An-Otter!!
This can be a card, a tag, a gift bag that you make, a scrapbook layout with animals on it, a decorated tin; let your imagination run wild and see just how fun this challenge might be!! And no, it doesn't have to be an otter image that you use, lol!

The other challenge is at "Sundays With Crissy" . It is Challenge #12 Christmas is Coming! or Winter is Here!.
I'm trying for that last push to get my Christmas cards done on time this year (you too?) so this theme will help us all do that.  If you're done your Christmas stash (or if you don't do Christmas cards) then a winter card will be fine for this challenge. Follow the link above to go to the post on Crissy's blog to post your card.

Wish me luck in these 2 challenges....  I've sure got my fingers and toes crossed......

A Christmas Card

Here is a Christmas card that I just got done making.  I have to say that I'm ashamed of myself, this card contains no use of Copic markers...    This is a Z-fold card with a Popcorn the Bear 3-d decoupage on the front.  This is my very first decoupage card and I have to say that I LOVE IT....   The picture isn't that great as it is a scan, but will have my husband take a picture with his camera later.

Honey Bee Tilda

Happy Friday!!!!  This week went by sooo fast.  Can't believe it's Friday already.  Today I created a card using Magnolia Honey Bee Tilda and Magnolia Honey Jar.  I stamped the stamps on Cryogen white cardstock and colored them using Copic markers.

I teach Copic classes at a local stamping store called "Stamp-ede Rubber Stamping Store". A few of the gals that have taken all 3 of my classes wanted to keep going with the classes, so we created a Copic 4 class which is Design of the Month using Copics.  I take a stamp from the store and color with copics and create a card which everyone makes in the class.  For the month of December the gals wanted me to show them how to take Tilda and have her sitting on something or add a background stamp behind her if she is standing.  So this card was made with that in mind.  So if you are in the York, PA area and would like to take some Copic classes, please check out Stamp-ede Rubber Stamping Store, they are working on a new website, but you can check them out on facebook using the following link  http://www.facebook.com/pages/York-PA/Stamp-ede-Rubber-Stamping-and-Scrapbooking-Supplies/342026797722 .

Here's another card using the same Magnolia Honey Tilda......

Hope you have a great weekend.....
