Sweet Stamps Christmas Ornament Challenge

Today our challenge at Sweet Stamps blog is to create an Ornament with a  Christmas Theme. This is an awesome challenge, we want to see what you come up with for this theme. Can't wait to see what you all can come up with, but be sure to use a Sweet Stamps stamp....

Anyone can enter, but if you use a Sweet Stamps rubber stamp you get two entries into the challenge for a chance to win a $20 shopping spree. Visit the design team blog and you will see what everyone on the Design team has done.

Here is my creation:

I used the Wreath stamp and the Merry Christmas stamp for my ornament.  I also used a Marianne Doily die.  I cut out 4 doilies then I stamped the Wreath on 2 of them and the Merry Christmas on the other 2.  I colored the wreath's using copics.  I then scored each doily in the middle and folded them.  I attached 2 of the folded doilies together, then attached the other 2 doilies together, making sure my Wreath's are opposite.  I used some twine for my hanger and for my tassel.  Then I attached both halves together to form a ball.  I added some red gemstones around each of the doilies to give it a bit of sparkle.
Hope you like it......

Be sure to visit Sweet Stamps blog and see what the rest of the team has created for you.   And please join in on the fun!

Hoot Hoot !!!!!

Hi Everyone!!!  I am here today on this wonderful Friday with a little Inspiration.  I thought I would share a card I made with you today.  Here's a sneak peek at part of my card:
I used some of the stamps from the new Sheena a Little Bit Scenic line .

Here is my finished card:

Here is a mini picture tutorial on how I created my Sunburst background:

You start out with the card stock, the ink colors you want your sunburst to be, it can just be one color or more.  I use my sponge daubers and a scrap piece of cardstock.

You need to decide where you want the middle of your Sunburst to be.  You then take the scrap piece of cardstock and lay it at an angle.  Then you take your dauber and add color along the edge of the scrap piece of cardstock.

Then you move your scrap piece of cardstock and using a different color, or the same color, you add that color next to the first color.

This is what it will look like after adding 2 colors.

This is what it looks like about half way done.

And finally what it looks like all finished.  You can have the back ground as big or as small as you would like it.  You can move your scrap piece of cardstock as little or as big as you want.

See you all next Friday with another creation, until then, Happy Stamping!!!!!

Marianne Creatables Dies

I finally was able to sit down and play with some of my dies today.  I saw a DT call for one of my favorite Die companies, so I thought I'd give it a shot.

I used a few of the Marianne Creatable dies to create my card and the flowers.

Here is another card that I just did using Marianne dies:

Here is another project that I did a bit ago that uses nothing but dies.  I really like how it turned out.

Thanks for the chance to be on an awesome DT......

Christmas in July

Hi Everyone!!!  I am here today on this wonderful Friday with a little Inspiration.  I thought I would share a card I made with you today.  Here's a sneak peek at part of my card:

I made a Flap card today.  The basic directions are HERE.  I, of course, modified the directions to make a bigger card.  My card uses a base of 6 x 12 inches and is scored at 4 3/4 inches and at 9 1/2 inches.  I used some Mirror card for my base and for the mat and embellishments.  So it doesn't photograph to well.

A closer peek at my colored image:

I used the stamp set "Santa and Sack " from the Stamp It Christmas Collection.  I stamped my image and colored it using the Spectrum Noir Markers.  These are some really great markers at a really great price.  Check out the whole range of colors.....   I also used my Ultimate Tool  for  scoring my card base.  This is another great tool that comes in real handy with so many uses.

Here is a closer peek at my colored image:

See you all next Friday with another creation, until then, Happy Stamping!!!!!

Designer's Choice Challenge - Repeat Impressions

It's time for a new Challenge over at the House that Stamps Built!
The Challenge is called Designer's Choice.

Here's how the "Designer's Choice Challenge" will work!
All of the fabulous design team members for Repeat Impressions
will be assigned a Wednesday, and we get to set the
"theme" for the challenge!  The Theme for this
week's DCC is hosted by Makiko and she is
challenging the Rock Stars to make a card using
Outdoors /Wild life!!

Here is my creation for this challenge:

My card is made using the largest of the dies from the Grand Labels 4.
I then scored at 2 3/4 inches from both ends and then folded
on the scored lines.  I also used my scoring tool and created
the lines you see on the front of the card, to make it have a
bit of texture.  I added some twine and of course my
"Loon" image.

Hope you all will join in the fun over at Repeat Impressions....

Take a peek at what the rest of the DT has created for
this great Challenge.
