Sneaker Snoozin

Hello Everyone !!!

My name is Dawn B, and I am so very excited to be posting for the first time here on the Crafter's Companion Blog as a NEW member of their design team.  If you can't tell, I am sooo excited to be a part of this talented design team and am looking forward to sharing my creations with everyone.  I am fairly new to the designing and blogging.  I began back in Oct 2010 after a lot of urging from some friends and my husband.  My blog is Dip n Dots Creations, if you'd like to take a peek at my creations and read a little more about me.

This week we are introducing a new stamp collection called "Strawberry Kisses". These are some really adorable cat and dog images.  If you love animals as much as I do, you will want them all.

I colored in my Sneaker and dog image using Copics and also used a few of my dies to cut out my image and sentiment.  These stamps will be available at the Crafter's Companion website. While you are there check out all the other great things that are available, including the new Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.

Please stop back each day to see more sneak peeks of all the new collections and to get inspiration from the rest of the Design Team !!!  Thanks for stopping by today !!!!

Repeat Impressions Stamp of The Week

Repeat Impressions "Stamp of the Week" is on their blog "The House that Stamps Built", and the " 2104-H, Boy with Sled" is the featured stamp! The details to this offer is only available on their blog! Also, check out the rest of the design teams' fabulous creations with this fun stamp!

I decided to try my hand at a window card.  I used my dies to cut out a window and then layered 2 of the dies to create a frame for my colored image.  My Boy with sled is stamped onto cryogen card stock and colored in with my copics.  I added some stickles to the snow, you can't see it too well in the picture.  I cut out my image with another die and added a mat behind it.  (forgot to take a picture of the inside so you can see it).  I carefully placed my colored image so that it is centered in the frame on the front of the card.  When you open the card you see the image with it's red mat and the sentiment that I added.  Will get a pic of the inside and post it soon.  I added some snowflake brads that I've had since last winter.  I also added some red ribbon with snowflakes on it and a bow with a snowflake brad in the center.

Be sure to check out the creations by some of the other RI Rock Stars
below to get more inspirations!!!!

I stamped Deacon Elf onto Cryogen white card stock and colored him in using my Copic Spica Glitter Pens.  I love these markers, they have so much sparkle to them.  It is hard to take a picture so you can see all the glittery.  I added some stickles to some parts on my card, the snowflakes on my DP, the trim on the hat and little ball, I also added some to the presents.  My red card stock, the printed DP and the green cardstock all all sparkly, they came with glitter on them.  Hope you have enjoyed seeing my creation !!!!!

and "2214-H, Ho! Ho! Ho!" sentiment.

I decided to try something different.  I made a double sided ornament.  I used Gingerbread Boy and Girl Duo small.  I stamped both stamps onto cryogen card stock and colored them in with copics.  I cut both of the colored images out.  I used a template for the shape of my ornament and cut it out of chipboard.  I also used the same template to cut out the red mirror and green mirror card stock for the sides.  I added some gold loopy trim all around the edges of my ornament.  I added some gold cord for my hanger.   I put my ornament on my mini tree that my husband and my 2 daughters got for me for my craft room.  Hope you like it !!!!!

Designer's Choice Challenge - Repeat Impressions

It's time for a new Challenge over at the House that Stamps Built!
The Challenge is called Designer's Choice.
Here's how the "Designer's Choice Challenge" will work!
All of the fabulous design team members for Repeat Impressions

week's DCC is hosted by Kendra and she
is challenging the Rock Stars to make a Christmas Card
with a Snowflake on it.

Here is my Snowflake Challenge card:

I stamped "8806-N, Penguin Trio" onto cryogen card stock and colored in parts of the penguins with copics.  I used a spellbinder die to cut my penguins out and for the mat behind it. I also used the sentiment "8810-H, Snow Much Fun" and stamped it in the lower left hand corner directly onto the DP with snowflakes.  It isn't showing up too well, so lesson learned.....   I added some stickles to the hats on the penguins and also for snow under their feet. I also used the Spellbinder dies Create a flakes to cut out 2 snowflakes and then I added some blue glitter to them to make them sparkle.  I added some ribbon going diagonal in 2 of the corners, a bow with a snowflake brad and then a few blue pearls to finish it off.  Hope you all like it !!!!!

Sweet Stamps Tag Challenge

Today our challenge at Sweet Stamps blog is to make a tag. This is an awesome challenge, we want to see how many different types of tags everyone comes up with, it can be any shape and size, but be sure to use a Sweet Stamps stamp....

Anyone can enter, but if you use a Sweet Stamps rubber stamp you get two entries into the challenge for a chance to win a $20 shopping spree. Visit the design team blog and you will see what everyone on the Design team has done.

Here is my creation:

For my tag, I used "154 Labels" from Marianne Designs Creatables to make my tag shape.  I stamped Mrs Snow from the stamp set "Mr and Mrs Snow Duo 207" onto my tag shape and colored her with my copics.  I added some gold pearls to make it look a bit fancy and then I traced the outline of the tag shape onto some pink card stock  and cut out by hand to make a mat for my tag.  I added some gold trimmed green ribbon to the top of my tag for hanging/attaching purposes.  I may go back and add some sparkle to make it look like Mrs Snow is sitting on sparkling snow.... I love sparkle.... Simple but really great looking with all the sparkle, especially from the Cryogen Card stock that I use.
