Sweet Stamps Masculine Challenge

It's time again for a NEW Challenge
over at Sweet Stamps Blog.  Our challenge this
week is Masculine.

Anyone can enter, but if you use a Sweet Stamps rubber
stamp you get 2 entries into the challenge for a
chance to win a $20 shopping Spree.

This was a pretty hard challenge for me as I like to use
alot of BLING and Ribbon and bows on my cards.

I stamped the Tree 1 - 784  onto white card stock
using a rainbow ink pad.  I then added
Hilly Grass - 734  to make it look like the tree is on the
ground and not floating in the air.
For my sentiment I used the Happy Father's Day 948
with the same rainbow ink pad as the tree.
Since I couldn't add ribbon and bows or any pearls,
I added a few buttons to finish it off.

Here's a closeup of my stamped images:

Be sure to visit Sweet Stamps blog and see
what the rest of the team has created for you.
And please join in on the fun!

Sweet Stamps Medallions Challenge

It is time for a NEW Challenge at Sweet Stamps.
The challenge this week is Medallions.  You
must use one of Sweet Stamps Medallions on your creation.

Here is my card:

I used the Six Heart Medallion. I stamped it
3 times onto Rainbow Vellum with White Dye Ink
and embossed it with Black Sparkle Embossing powder.
I cut out the whole medallion for the bottom layer.
I then cut out the 2nd layer and then the 3rd layers.  I used
a sparkle brad for the center.

Here's a closeup of my Medallion:
I then used some of the scraps and used a border
punch to punch the edge.  I added some
rainbow ribbon and a bow.

Hope you like my card today and we at Sweet Stamps
can't wait to see what you come up with for our
challenge.

Repeat Impressions Stamp of The Week

Repeat Impressions "Stamp of the Week" is on their blog "The House that Stamps Built", and the "4318-K, Stork" is the featured stamp! The sentiment is "8601-E, Little One" from their "Quartet Complements" which has quite a number of excellent sentiment stamps. Make sure you visit their blog for the special offer on the Stork stamp! The details to this offer is only available on their blog! Also, check out the rest of the design teams' fabulous creations with this fun and versatile stamp.
I stamped the Stork using my Kaleidacolor Rainbow
ink pad in blue breeze.  I took the sentiment stamp and
stamped it straight, instead of on 2 lines.  I used
a few of the new Spellbinder dies the Ribbon Banners and
Elegant Posts, I also used my Scallop Rectangles and the
New Arrival dies.
So Sorry for the late and short post, but I am feeling
under the weather this past week.

It’s WHAT IF? Wednesday
and time for a new sketch challenge!
The sketch that Wendy designed for the Rock
Stars to follow is:

Here is my take on this sketch:

I have used 912-K, Tulip Bouquet for
my card today.  I stamped my image onto
Cryogen Iridescent white card stock using
Kaleidacolor Rainbow ink pad in Blue Breeze.
I cut my stamped image out into a square shape
and added a slightly larger Dk Aqua mat behind it.
I used some light tan and Dk aqua card stock and
a Martha Stewart border punch for my stripes.
I was playing around with the corner punch that
matched the border punch and came up with
my corner embellishment.  I added some pearls
and VOILA my card is complete....

Here is a closeup of my stamped Tulip Bouquet:
I really like these Kaleidacolor rainbow pads,
why have I not gotten then sooner than last week, I don't know....

Head on over to the House That Stamps Built blog and
see what the rest of the Rock Stars have created with
this great sketch.  While you are there why not enter

"Grad Cap" and made my background paper.

Designer's Choice Challenge - Repeat Impressions

It's time for a new Challenge over at the House that Stamps Built
The Challenge is called Designer's Choice.
Here's how the "Designer's Choice Challenge" will work!
All of the fabulous design team members for Repeat Impressions
will be assigned a Wednesday, and we get to set the
"theme" for the challenge!  The Theme for this
week's DCC is hosted by Harriet and she is challenging
all of us to do paper piecing.

For my DCC today I have used the stamp
called "701-K, Belle".  I stamped my image
onto Cryogen Iridescent White card stock for my base.
I then stamped Belle onto brown and pink polka dotted
card stock.  I cut out portions of the stamped image from each
and layered them on the White base.  I used my
Spellbinders Parisian Motifs to cut out my stamped image from
the Cryogen white card stock, and also from brown card stock
(you can't see the brown layer very well, but it is there behind
the white layer).  I then cut out 2 of the Parisian Motifs from
pink card stock.  I then cut each of the pink cut outs
in quarters.  I took and pieced those together behind
the brown layer to add the 3rd layer. I then added some
pink polka dotted ribbon to finish my card off.

Here's a closer look at my paper pieced Belle and the
Pink motif layer:

Take a peek at what the rest of the DT has created for
this great Challenge.

Class Act May Challenge

Class Act's new challenge is Masculine and you must use
Fabric or Stitching, Real or Faux.

This plaid paper reminds me of my Dad.  He always wore
flannel shirts.  I used the "Old Car" stamp from Class Act.
I stamped my image using Rich Cocoa Memento Ink onto
Cryogen Iridescent White Card Stock.  I then took my daubers
and added some Distress Inks in Broken China and Vintage Photo
around my stamped image.  I then added some Faux stitching.
I cut out my image with my Scalloped Oval Spellbinders Dies.

Here's a closer look at my Old Car:

My papers are from the Max And Whiskers Basic Grey
Paper Pad.  I love these BG papers.  And using the pads, the
papers are interchangeable.
I then added the "To Brighten Your Day" Sentiment
and used my scalloped Oval dies to cut it out.

This was a pretty hard card for me to do as I am
so used to adding ribbons and bows and flowers and bling.
Hope you like my creation. For all the details about the challenge
you can go to the Class Act Insider and read all the details there
and you can see all the wonderful creations that the DT has
created for your inspiration.

Class Act Stamps

My card today is made using a Class Act Stamp.
It uses "Silhouette Flowers".  Click on the Stamp name
and it will take you to it in the Class Act Store.

I stamped my image using Rust and Turquoise ink
onto Cryogen Iridescent White Card Stock.  I also
used a Film Strip Stamp. I was trying to make it
look like I had different colors of the same picture.
This is a clean and simple card for me as I didn't
add too many embellishments.

I am still dealing with my health issues, but hopefully
soon I will start to feel better. So bear with me  for a little
bit longer on being slower/late with my posts.

I used papers from the Basic Grey Blush Collection.
I added ribbon and a bow.

Come back tomorrow and check out the New Challenge that
will be going on at Class Act Insider, the Class Act Blog. The
challenges run for 2 weeks and you can have the chance
to win some awesome stamps from Class Act.
Don't forget to check out the Class Act Store and
see what great stamps they have.
