Best Friends

Hi Everyone!!!  Dawn B  here today on this wonderful Friday with a little Inspiration.  I thought I would share a card I made with you today.  Here's a sneak peek at part of my card:

I used the "Best Friends" stamp set from Humphrey's Corner Collection.  I stamped my image and colored it using the Spectrum Noir Markers.  These are some really great markers at a really great price.  Check out the whole range of colors.....   I also used my Ultimate Tool  for  scoring my card base.  This is another great tool that comes in real handy with so many uses.

Here is a closer peek at my colored image:

And finally my finished card:

I used one of my die sets to cut out my image and for the pink mats behind my main image.  I added some pearls, some roses and a feather to finish off my card.

Such a simple but awesome card, don't you think???

Here are the Spectrum Noir markers that I used to color my image:

See you all next Friday with another creation, until then, Happy Stamping!!!!!

Party Time with Humphrey

Hi Everyone!!!  Dawn B  here today with a little Monday Inspiration.  I thought I would share a card I made with you today. I was looking around for a different type of card design and came across a Double Z Fold card.  It can be found HERE.  The finished size of the card is 4 x 5 1/2 inches.

After figuring out how to make the card base, I went through my stash of stamps and came across the Humphrey Party Time stamp set.  With so many birthdays that always crop up, I decided to make a Birthday Card.  Here is Party Time Humphrey:

Humphrey is colored using the Spectrum Noir Markers.  These are some really great markers at a really great price.  Check out the whole range of colors.....   I used my Ultimate Tool and the Boxer board for all my scoring.  This is another great tool that comes in real handy with so many uses.  I just added some DP to the panels on the front of the card and also on the inside of the card.
Here is a closer look at my colored Humphrey:

I stamped "Party Time" onto the main card back.  Such a simple but awesome card, don't you think???

And a picture of the card opened:

See you all on Friday for my normal scheduled post......

Inspiration Monday - Sunshine or Yellow

Hello everyone, this is my 2nd time sharing for Monday Inspiration on the Crafter's Companion Challenge Blog! I'm so excited to be part of this creative group of stamp artists!

This month's theme is Sunshine or Yellow, I went back and forth about what stamp to use, there are so many gorgeous stamps that Crafter's Companion has that will work great with this theme.  In the end I decided to go for one of the Humphrey stamps, this is one of my favorite stamp lines. This cute Humphrey is from the Humphrey stamp set.

My Humphrey is colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol ink markers.  I added one of the sentiments from the stamp set. I stamped my image about 4 times and colored in parts of each of the stamped image.  I took and cut out parts of the images and I popped those parts up onto my main colored image.  I used a die to cut out my image and for the mat behind it.  I sponged some yellow ink around my card edge after I used an edge die to cut the bottom edge.

I hope I gave you all some great inspiration to dig out those Crafter's Companion stamps and enter our great June Sunshine or Yellow Challenge

Thanks for stopping by and looking!!

With Love From Me to You

Hello everyone!! I am here on this wonderful Friday with a couple of projects that uses "Humphrey" and "Anthony and Burt Hope You Feel Better Soon" stamp sets. I hope you enjoy it.

Project 1 uses Humphrey:

I found this box tutorial on line HERE.  I modified it a little bit to make my box a little bit bigger, 5 3/4 x 3 1/4.  I used my Ultimate Tool and the Boxer Board for all my scoring of the Chipboard.  My image is stamped onto Ultra Smooth White Card stock and colored using the Spectrum Noir markers.  I added some pearls around the entire box along with a border that I punched using a border punch.

My next project is also a box, the same as above, but using "Anthony and Burt Hope You Feel Better Soon" stamp set.

This Box is done in purple parchment paper and some light purple card stock.   I am really liking these Anthony and Burt images.  They all are so very cute.  My image is stamped onto Ultra Smooth Card stock and colored in using the Spectrum Noir markers.   Once again, my box is just a little bit bigger than the directions that I found.

I added a border around my box and added some ribbon threaded through my border.  I added a few purple roses to give it just that special touch.

Hope you have enjoyed my projects.  Give the Box a try, it is fun to try new things.....

Just Catching Up!!!!

Hello everyone!! I am here on this wonderful Friday with a project that uses "Catching Up" of the new A Year With Humphrey stamp Line.  I hope you enjoy it.

This week I made a 6"x6" Criss Cross Card.  This is a real easy card to make.  Humphrey is colored using Spectrum Noir markers.  I stamped my image a couple of times, and fussy cut certain pieces of the image so I could layer them on top of my main image to give it a 3-d look.

Here is a closer look at my image:

This card can also be made smaller if you wish.  I used the Ultimate tool for scoring my card stock/paper. It comes with a wonderful book that shows you how to make different types of cards/projects.  Check it out......

See you all next Friday with another project of another new release..

pretty good.  In keeping with the theme of Flowers, I added some handmade flowers to the lower left corner of my card.

Anyone for the Conga!!!!

Hello Everyone!!!  Hope you all are having a great week so far. Today I decided to use a stamp set that I just got from Crafter's Companion.  I am using the "Birthday Conga" stamp set from Humphrey's Corner Collection. Humphrey is just so darn cute, and all his friends are too....

I decided to make another Z Fold or accordion fold card. Once again I used the Ultimate Tool and the directions that came in the booklet for an accordion fold card.  It was pretty easy to follow the directions and the Ultimate Tool made the folds so easy to make.  I also used a decorative cutter that I have to make the curvy top edge, but you can leave it as a straight edge if you so desire or you can cut the top of the card at an angle to give it a bit of different shape.

Here are the basic directions for a Z fold or Accordion fold card :

1.  Take a 12x12 sheet of cardstock and cut it in half to the size of 6x12.
2.  Use your score board and score at 4 inches and again at 8 inches. I used my Ultimate Tool to score my card.
3.  Take and fan fold the cardstock that you just scored.
4.  Finish card as you so desire.

Here is a picture of my card laying flat:

A picture of my card laying flat,  but open so you can see the inside:
I left my center panel blank so you can add your special Birthday message.

and one more picture of my card so you can see how the z fold card sits:
