Flower Note Card Holder

Hi Everyone!!!!  Dawn B here on this wonderful Friday, to show you all a project I did using the latest release Art Kure. One of my teammates, Tracy Valure, showed this wonderful project that she did on her blog and well when I saw it I thought it would be perfect to showcase some of these new flower stamps by Art Kure.  So with Tracy's permission I am going to show you how to make a note card holder to hold a few note cards.

Here is my project for today:
I used the Large Daffodils for my main image on the outside of my note card holder. My image is colored in using the Spectrum Noir markers, which are now available at Crafter's Companion.

To make the note card holder, I used one of my Grand dies to create the base and added a 5x4 box.  After cutting out the base, I scored it at 3 inches on one end, using my Ultimate Tool.  For the box I used a piece of card stock measuring 8 x 9.5 inches.  I scored it on the long side at 4 and 5 1/2 inches and on the short side at 1 1/2 and 6 1/2 inches.  Here is the diagram showing where to score the card stock at that Tracy shared:

Once you have the card stock scored, you want to cut it at the 4 and 5 1/2 score line in to the 4 and 5 1/2 score line.  This will allow you to fold the card stock into a box.

Here is side view of the note card holder and a top view showing the note cards inside:

Here is picture of the note cards that I made to place inside, each was colored with Spectrum Noir markers. These use the smaller version of the flower stamps:

Hope you have enjoyed this little tutorial on making a note card holder.  It was real easy to make thanks to the directions from Tracy.  Give it a try.

See you all next Friday with another project of another new release..

Thanks for stopping by,
Dawn B
