Designer's Choice Challenge - Repeat Impressions

It's time for a new Challenge over at the House that Stamps Built
The Challenge is called Designer's Choice.
Here's how the "Designer's Choice Challenge" will work!
All of the fabulous design team members for Repeat Impressions
will be assigned a Wednesday, and we get to set the
"theme" for the challenge!  The Theme for this
week's DCC is hosted by Karen and she
is challenging the Rock Stars to create a card
"For The Guys".
This was a hard challenge for me as I don't make
too many cards that are "Manly".
But this is a challenge, Right????
I used "2706-K, Loon" and stamped it onto
Neenah solar White Card stock.
I used a few of my dies to cut out the Loon and for the
mat behind it. I left my card pretty plain, and just
added a few red pearls in the corner.....
This was really hard as I usually add ribbons, lace and bows....

Take a peek at what the rest of the DT has created for
this great Challenge.

Sweet Stamps Sketch Challenge

Today our challenge at Sweet Stamps blog is to follow a sketch....

Anyone can enter, but if you use a Sweet Stamps rubber stamp you get two entries into the challenge for a chance to win a $20 shopping spree.  Visit the design team blog and you will see what everyone on the Design team has done.

Here is my take on the sketch:

I took and rotated the sketch.  I used the "Carousel Horse Facing Right - 641" for my image today.  I wanted to use one of my new paper pads that I got from Echo Park, so I used the color theme of Pink, White and Black.  I really like this color combo.  My image is stamped onto cryogen card stock and colored with my copics.  I added some lace with pink ribbon threaded through it and some pearls and a few flowers to finish my card off.  Hope you like it, I do!!!!!

Be sure to visit Sweet Stamps blog and see what the rest of the team has created for you.   And please join in on the fun!

Courageous Carl

For my Whimsy DT obligation this week, I went back and used a digital image that was released back in May.  It is called "Courageous Carl" and he is from Crissy's Digis for Whimsy Stamps.  I've actually have had him colored up for over a month now, but just didn't get around to making a card out of him.  So here he is:

He is printed onto Cryogen Iridescent White Card Stock and colored in with my copics.  My DP is from the Animal Crackers card stack from DCWV. I added some pearls.  I have been having a thing with lace lately, so I used lace instead of ribbon on my card today.....

Don't forget that Whimsy Stamps now has a Challenge blog called "Whimsy Stamps Inspirations Blog". Each Wednesday a new challenge is posted.  Also new projects are posted from the DT to give you all some inspiration... So go check it out!!!!!!! And join in all the fun!!!!!

What If Wednesday - Repeat Impressions Sketch Challenge

It’s WHAT IF? Wednesday
and time for a new sketch challenge!
The sketch that Wendy designed for the Rock
Stars to follow is:
Here is my take on this sketch:

I have used the "8120-K, Scruffy Puppy" and "8103-C, Woof!".  I stamped both onto White Card Stock with Kaleidacolor Cappuccino Delight rainbow ink. I used my Octagons Spellbinders die to cut out the Scruffy Puppy, and my Fancy Tag to cut out my Woof sentiment.  I also cut out 2 more Fancy Tags and layered them behind my Woof and a scalloped octagon mat for behind my image.  I added some white pearls to the corners and also around the scalloped octagon behind the Scruffy Puppy.  My papers are from the Basic Grey Max and Whiskers paper pad. I love these papers and they all coordinate together, so it's a bit easier to find matching papers...  That is one thing that I find hard to do, matching papers for my projects.....

Head on over to the House That Stamps Built blog and
see what the rest of the Rock Stars have created with
this great sketch.  While you are there why not enter
a creation that you have done following the sketch.
The rules are really simple......
Your card doesn’t even have to be made with Repeat Impressions stamps,
but if you would like to include our designs we would really love to see them!
Plus you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing
for using our stamps in your submissions! Simply create a
card based on the sketch, upload your card to your blog
or Splitcoast gallery, then link your card to this post
Have Fun and I can't wait to see all the wonderful creations.

I don't really have just 3 or 5 favorite cards that I've done using ribbons, but I will try and
narrow it down.....  Here they are, But feel free to go through my blog to see all my creations:

This one uses lace, I tied a flat bow with the lace and added a brad to hold it together.
I also threaded some 1/4" ribbon through the holey lace and made a little flower with the lace as well.....

This card uses some really awesome lace and a big bow......  I really loved how this turned out....

I really love the spotted ribbon, it just gives it a different look.....

I used some stripped ribbon on this card in very soft pastel colors....

This is one of my favorites,  I actually took and added ribbon around the top of my card
in a pleated fashion and then added a double bow.  This really looks awesome in person....
I kinda was just playing around trying to figure out something different....

But please take a look around and you will see so that most all of my cards use
some sort of ribbon or lace on them.....  Especially my Christmas cards from last year.....
I used alot of the wire trimmed ribbon.....

Wish me luck on this Design Team Call......

Sweet Stamps White on White Challenge

Today our challenge at Sweet Stamps blog is White on White, the only color is your image. Man on man was this a hard challenge for me......

Anyone can enter, but if you use a Sweet Stamps rubber stamp you get two entries into the challenge for a chance to win a $20 shopping spree. Visit the design team blog and you will see what everyone on the Design team has done.

This was a very hard challenge for me as I like to use lots of color on my cards.  I kept it pretty much white, except I added a few pink pearls.  My card uses "Praire Rose 3031" and   "You are Loved 3027."  I also used a few dies from Marianne Creatables Designs called "155 Ribbon Scallop Border" and " 154 Labels".  These are some real awesome dies.....

Be sure to visit Sweet Stamps blog and see what the rest of the team has created for you.   And please join in on the fun!

Whimsy Inspiration Challenge Blog

Hi there! Today is the day! It's the second challenge at the Whimsy Inspirations Challenge Blog! Yay! We have a super fun theme for you...  Sewing - Hand or Machine - Faux or real!

Here's my card for this week's challenge...

I am showcasing a digi image called Raggedy Bunny Flowers for You  by StampArt Design by Kathy ...isn't she the cute?! She is stamped onto Cryogen card stock and colored with Copics. I sponged the sky background with my clouds templates! And gave her a dotted grassy area to relax on.

I added some fun embellishments including some buttons, my ribbon and big ole' bow, and some lace!

I hope you'll join us for this second challenge and every week! Stop by the Whimsy Inspirations Challenge blog and see what the rest of the Design Team B has to inspire you with today!
