Whimsy Stamps

It it Thursday and that means that it
is time for a new digi release from Meljen's Designs.
Today Melissa has released some really great
Graduation digi's.  You can check them out in

I have used the "Graduation Mouse" for my card today.
I really like this new digi. These can be used
for any type of Graduation.  My image is
printed onto Cryogen Iridescent White Card Stock
and colored with my copics.  I then took the
"Grad Cap" and made my background paper.

Here is a closer look at my Graduation Mouse:
I used the colors Gold and Black because
they are the colors of my daughters school.
She will graduate next year, then I will only have one more
in school.... Gosh I'm feeling old now....

Don't forget to check out the Meljen's Design Team
and Challenge blog to get more inspiration with these
new digital images.

with the copics, Feather blending.
I used my new Spellbinders Labels 18 to cut out my
colored image and for the mat behind it.
I used a Martha Stewart border punch and added
some really cool flower ribbon and a bow to finish it
off.

Hope you have fun seeing all the Sneak Peeks of the

Some Bunny Loves You

Meljen's Designs is releasing some new digital images
today.  They are really cute, so be sure to go to
Whimsy Stamps store and check them out.

I used the digital image called "Cuddle Bun Buddies".
I have been having fun making easel cards, so today's card is also
an easel card.  I used the colors Pink and Blue, as I was
going for a card for a child, and well I like how it turned out.
I've been trying to not use alot of designer papers on some of my cards
as I don't want the designs of the papers to take away from the images.
My image is printed onto Cryogen Iridescent Card stock
and colored in with my copics.
I used a Martha Stewart border punch called Arch Lattice
to create my layered borders on the front of the card
and also on the inside of the card.
I added ribbon and a bow to finish it off.

On the front of the card I added a sentiment
from the Love Bunnies Sentiments from Raindrop
Echo Designs for Whimsy Stamps.  I thought
this was a perfect sentiment for my card.
Hope you like my creation for today. Please check out the
rest of the Design Team to see what they have created.

"In The Doghouse" by Crissy Armstrong.

I printed my image onto Cryogen White Card Stock and colored it with
my Copics (list below).  I also created the name BONEZ using
a font in MS Publisher and printed out the image again with the
name on the bone and then cut out the bone after
it was colored and popped it up onto on the original to
give it a little bit of dimension. My ribbon was plain
white, so I took a paw stamp that I had and stamped
paw prints onto the ribbon.

Here's a better picture of the bone:

Check out the DT's blogs listed on the Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Blog
to get a glimpse of the new rubber stamps that are being released from
Meljen's Designs.  These new stamps will be available
in the Whimsy Stamps store on February 9th.

Today I have used a new rubber stamp that is being released by Meljen's Designs
for Whimsy Stamps called "Baby Bunnys Bottle".

This image just calls for a new baby card.
I made this card for my neighbor who is having a baby girl any day now.
Hope she likes it....

Here's a close up of the "Baby Bunnys Bottle" image.
It is of course colored with Copics.
On the front of the card I have used a digital sentiment "New Addition",
from Raindrop Echo Designs called "New Beginnings Sentiments 2".
This sentiment is also available in the Whimsy Stamps store Here.
I decided to make another shaped card, this time I used the Scalloped Circles Grand Dies.

And now for the inside of the card:

On the inside of the card,
I am using another Digi sentiment from Raindrop Echo Designs
called "Gracie's Rose digi Sentiments 3". This

Turtle Love

It's Thursday and another great release at Whimsy Stamps with Meljen's Designs.  These new digi's are really great and you'll want to pick up a couple of them for those Valentine Cards that you need to make.
Today I have chosen to use Meljen's Designs "Lovin Turtle".  This is a real cute image, as is all of Melissa's designs.....

I decided to do something TOTALLY different for me on this card.  I did not use one Copic Marker on the card....  GASP....  I did a technique that I have not done in a while, Paper Piecing.   I think my card turned out pretty nice... Would be great for a young child for Valentine's day....  I also didn't add any sparkle to my card, so GASP again..... But I did add some lace.....I also made this into a pocket card, the scallop oval pulls out at the top and you can place a sentiment on the tag. This card also opens up as a normal card does so you can add some more Love inside....

Here is another take that I had on using this great digi image
from Meljen's Designs for Whimsy Stamps.
I decided to go "Outside" my box and make a shaped card.
A Turtle shaped card....

I just love what you can do with the digital images... They can be resized, which I did for this card, you can flip them, use more than one image on a card, so many things.....  I also did paper piecing for this Turtle shaped card.... And I added some googly eyes to make him look really great......

For this turtle shaped card I took the digital image and re-sized it to the size that I wanted and then printed him out. I then cut out my turtle shape to use as a pattern. Took my folded piece of card stock and traced the turtle shape making sure I had the fold line inside the shape.   Then I cut around my shape.  You will then need to print out the turtle digi, in the same size you used for the pattern, on different color card stock.  Then just cut out the shapes/areas you want to layer and start layering them.  I used foam pop dots to give my turtle some dimension..... Hope you all will give this a try, it is very easy....

Anyhow, thanks for looking at my creations today.  I hope you will take a look at my DT members creations as well.  You can get a list HERE at the Whimsy blog, or on my sidebar under Whimsy Stamps DT......

Meljen's Designs is releasing some new digital images TODAY !!!!!

Today, I have used Meljen's Designs "Birds Spring Trinkets"
which can be found HERE in the Whimsy Stamps store.

I had a lot of fun making this card.  I was trying to make a very "springy" card
and think I accomplished that.
I also used some of my new Wild Orchid Crafts Roses that I just got in the mail today.  These are
really great, so be on the lookout for more cards from me using them.
As usual, my image was printed out on Cryogen card stock and colored
with my copic markers.  I also added some "bling" to my card with stickles.

"Thanks A Bunch"

Today is Thursday
and that means another wonderful new release of digital images
from Melissa Jenkins of Meljen's Designs for Whimsy Stamps.
These new digital images can be found at the Whimsy Stamps store HERE.

Today I have chosen to use the "Swirly Daisy Pot" digital image.

I made a "Thanks A Bunch" card.
This image can be used for so many different things, occasions, etc.
As most of my cards usually have sparkle to them, I added some sparkle to the
swirls around the flowers using the Viva Decor Glitter Liner in Holo Iridescent color.
This is pretty much a clear with glitter in it. This was my first time using this product
and I love it.

I have not been  doing much to the insides of my cards, but I've seen
others that have and decided to give it a shot.  Here is the inside
of my "Thanks A Bunch" card.
I just took some of the same papers that I used on the front and layered them,
then added some of my favorite pearls.  I even made a bow and
attached a charm that I added a "Thanks A Bunch" rub on to.
Here's a close up of my bow and charm:

Hope you will take the time to visit some of my fellow DT blogs to see what they
have created with the new Meljen's Designs release today.
