Toread's Happy Birthday!!!

Hi Everyone!!!! I am here on this Friday to show you a sneak peek of a new line of stamps that will be available soon at the Crafter's Companion store.  The launch of the Toread papercrafting range will be next week! These are some really cute little images and a dream to color.

My card today uses "Buddles" and the sentiment"Happy Birthday".

I stamped my image onto premium white card stock and colored it in using my Spectrum Noir markers.   The colors I used are: GT3, GT2, GT1, IG8, IG6, IG5, IG1, FS9, FS6, FS4, CR9, GB10, GB7, CT4. I also used my GT3 marker to color some white pearls.

My card measures 6 x 6.  I used one of my dies to cut out my colored image and also for the mat behind my image. I used a border punch to make a border and I wrapped some ribbon around it and tied a bow.  I added the sentiment "Happy Birthday" also from the Torreads line.   I added some pearls that were colored using GT3 so that they would match.

Sweet Stamps Viewmaster card

 Today our challenge at Sweet Stamps blog is to create a View-Master card. This is an awesome challenge, we want to see what you come up with for this theme. Can't wait to see what you all can come up with, but be sure to use a Sweet Stamps stamp....

The general directions for a View-Master card can be found HERE. My card measures 6" square, so I modified the directions to make a bigger card.  Here is my card:

I used the sentiments "Just for You -9005B", "Have a beautiful day-919", "Especially for you small-906B", "Tiny just-9077B" and Nellie Snellen MFD010 dies. Cheery Lynn Build a flower#1 dies, Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish, Large Rose and Medium Rose dies.

This was pretty fun to make, give it a try.....

Totally Stampalicious Fall Colors

Every Monday Totally Stampalicious  issues a new challenge. The challenge for this week is "Fall Colors". Let's see what you can come up with using this theme. I just finally received my stamps this week and had to use "balloon boy" for my card.  I paper pieced the balloon and colored the rest of the image with copics.  This is such a great Fall thing to do as you can see all the colors up above......

I guess I used the diluted fall colors...... LOL.....   Anyway have fun with the new challenge....

Wishing you Sacks full of Joy

Hi Everyone!!!  I am here today to give you a bit of inspiration. For my creation today, I made a flap card.  I am using an image from "Mulberry Wood EZMount Stamp Set - Dreams of Santa".  The whole Mulberry Wood collection is so cute, so be sure to check them out HERE.

 I stamped my image onto premium white card stock and colored it using the Spectrum Noir Markers. These are some really great markers and I am using them all the time.  I used one of my dies and cut out my colored image and for the mat behind it. I added a bit of sparkle using my stickles.  I added a few snowflakes with pearls in the centers.

The main directions can be found HERE.  If you know me by now, I modified the directions to make a slightly larger card. Closed size is 4 1/4 x 6.

To make a flap card, you will need a piece of card stock 6 x 11 1/2.  Score this piece of card stock at 3 and again at 7 1/4.  

Fold these score lines.  The smaller scored piece will be the front of the card.  Decorate as you please.  I added a small piece of velcro to hold my card closed, but this isn't needed.

And finally all the way opened. So much room to add embellishments.

I used the stamp "Tree #3" and a kaleidoscope ink pad.  I added a punched border and some brown ribbon and a double bow.  I also added a few pearls.

A Time for Giving

Hi Everyone!!!  I am here today on this wonderful Friday with a little Inspiration.  I thought I would share a card I made with you today.

  I used a stamp from the Humphrey's Corner Collection called "A Present for You". This was the "free" stamp from the last promotion at Crafter's Companion. Check out the really great selection of Humphrey stamps, you will want them all.

Here is my finished card:

I stamped my image and colored it using my Spectrum Noir Markers. These are some really great markers and I find I love them more each time I use them.The colors I used today are: DR1, DR4, DR2, IG3, IG2, IG1, LG3, LG2, LG1, BT8, CT4, GB10.

Sparkle N Sprinkle Sketch Challenge

Sparkle N Sprinkle has a new Sketch challenge each month.  This month's sketch challenge uses the following sketch:

Here is my take on the sketch:

As you can see I rotated the sketch.  For my image today, I used a digital image called "Lily the Enchanted Fairy" from Michelle Perke.  She is colored in using copics. I added some sparkly purple ribbon and a ribbon slider.  My DP is also sparkly, but you can't see it in the picture.  Card size 5 x 7.

Christmas on it's Way

Hi Everyone!!!  I am here today on this wonderful Friday with a little Inspiration.  I thought I would share a card I made with you today.

 I used a stamp from the Sheena Douglas Festive set called "Christmas is Coming". Check out this really great selection of stamp. You will find a variety of stamp sets that may interest you.

Here is my finished card:

 I stamped my image and colored using the Spectrum Noir Markers. These are some really great markers at a really great price.  Check out the whole range of colors.....

My card is Clean and Simple today, nothing fancy.  I cut out my image and matted it using some golden color card stock.  I did the same with the sentiment, also from the New Sheena Douglas Festive set. I added some white pearls that were colored with my Spectrum Noir Markers.

I used the following Spectrum Noir Markers to color my image today: GB8. GB7, GB4, GB3, GB2, DG3.

Sparkle N Sprinkle Design Team

It's official, I am now a part of the Sparkle N Sprinkle Design Team.  I am so excited to be joining all the awesome talent that is on the DT.  I am looking forward to using some different things, ie glitter, flocking, etc, things I have never used before. It will be a challenge, but one I am looking forward to.

Sweet Stamps Acetate Challenge

Today our challenge at Sweet Stamps blog is to create a card using acetate. This is an awesome challenge, we want to see what you come up with for this theme. Can't wait to see what you all can come up with, but be sure to use a Sweet Stamps stamp....

 I really love stamping on and using acetate.  I stamped "Poinsettia Candles" 2 times onto white card stock and colored using copics. I fussy cut out the Poinsettia Candles and attached that to my acetate card.  I then backed that with an oval cut out of green on the inside of the card.  The ovals were cut using Cheery Lynn Oval Classics. This will hide the tape used to attach the image to the front of the card. 
 I cut out parts of the 2nd colored image and popped those up on my main image.  I added some glitter to the flames and the centers of the poinsettia's to give it a bit of pop.

I added some ribbon going down the center of my card crease and a bow to finish off my card.  The pictures aren't the greatest as I have yet to figure out how to take pictures of the acetate cards.

Crafter's Companion September Challenge

Hi Everyone!!!   Today is the 1st of September and that means it is time for a NEW challenge on the Crafter's Companion Challenge Blog.  This month our challenge to you is to make a project using a Crafter's Companion Stamp and the theme Stripes or Dots.  We want you to create any project, it can be a card, layout, altered item, etc.  Just make sure you use a Crafter's Companion stamp in order to have a chance to win an awesome PRIZE.

Here is my September Challenge Card:

 I used " Mulberry Wood Sledging By" stamp set today. I stamped my image onto Premium Card stock and colored using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.  I decided that my card needed some sparkle, so I added some glitter.  Here is a closer peek:
