Totally Stampalicious Halloween

Today's challenge at Totally Stampalicious is "Halloween". You must make a Halloween card or project!

Unfortunately I have no creation or project for this challenge today.  We here in York, PA got about 10 inches of snow on Saturday.  Our power went out about 1130am on Saturday and didn't come back on til about 3/4ish pm on Sunday.   At least it is back on now and I am not freezing in my house today....

I will be working on a creation for this challenge either later today or tomorrow and will post it when I can.

But in the mean time take a gander at what the rest of the Design Team has created for this awesome challenge.  The Totally Stampalicious blog has some great pictures of the creations as well.....

Rest in Peace Bam Bam

It has taken me almost 2 weeks to post this.  I am having a hard time with his loss. My male shih tzu who was 6 yrs old went to doggie heaven.  For 2yrs we battled Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia and he was on and off meds and blood tests galore for 2yrs.  He took a turn for the worse 2 weeks ago and I made that very hard decision to let him go.  He was my best buddy and my shadow.  He was my b-day present from my husband 6yrs ago.  I really miss him and so does Pebbles, she is our 8yr female shih tzu.

Here is a picture of both of them taken on our deck about a month ago, Bam Bam is on the right:
I hope he is having fun in Doggie heaven with Trixie, our Husky lab mix who we put to sleep back in the end of May when she collapsed in the yard, she was 14yrs old.....

Bam Bam, I really miss you buddy !!!!  Miss you too Trixie !!!! Hope you are now pain free and having a blast up in Doggie heaven....

Here is my Recipe Challenge card:

For my card today, I went for one of my favorite color combos - brown and pink.  I used the
1603-K, Bouquet Bear and the sentiment 1920-G, Thank you beary. The Bouquet Bear was stamped onto cryogen card stock and colored in with my copics.  I used one of my new spellbinder dies, Floral Doily Motifs to cut out my colored image and my sentiment and for the mats behind them.  I added some really "Girly" ribbon that is pink with pearls down the middle and a bow with a pearl brad and a few pearls in the corners.  Hope you like my "Girly" creation.....

I then used my Gelly Roll pens and a blender pen to color Madonna and Child in.  I decided to use non traditional Christmas colors.  I added some pearls to finish my card off.

Note Card Challenge at Totally Stampalicious

This week's challenge at Totally Stampalicious is a Note Cards !!!!!  You must make a set of note cards!!!!

Check out my creation:

For my Note Cards, I used Friendly Dexter and some of the awesome sentiments that came with him.  These stamp sets are really great as they all come with an image and a few sentiments.  I have a hard time coming up with sentiments, so I really love these sets.  When I was stamping my Dexter out, my daughter came into my craft room, I asked her what color should I color Dexter, she said purple.  Purple is her favorite color.  So these are for you Melanie!!!!!  I used the color combo of purple and yellow.  The yellow really looks great with purple.  I used the Wonky Squares spellbinder dies to cut out my colored images and for the mat behind them and for my sentiments.  I added ribbon and tied it into a knot at the top of each card.  I also added a few yellow pearls to the bottom corners. Plain and simple today.

Hope you like my creation !!!!

Don't forget to check out the Totally Stampalicious blog to see what the other DT members have created for inspiration....  And don't forget to stop by the Totally Stampalicious Store to get some of these awesome stamps......

So are you READY?!!!

If you have arrived here from lovely Kendra's blog, then you are on the right track.  If not start at the Totally Stampalicious blog and follow the awesome line up.....

For my creation tonight, I have used "Deacon and Ava HOHO":

I stamped Deacon and Ava HOHO onto cryogen card stock and colored them with copics.  You can't see it in the picture, but I added sparkle to the fur on their hats and to the snow falling around them.  I decided to use non traditional christmas colors for my card.  The awesome papers are from the Be Merry paper pad from My Minds Eye.  I really like these papers....  I added some ribbon and a bow and if you look closely at the bow, you will see 3 snowflake charms that I attached to the bow... Hope you all like it !!!!!

Here is another card that I did using "Margaret December" :

Margaret is stamped onto cryogen card stock and colored in with copics. I really love these stamp sets as they come with the image and a few sentiments for you to choose from.  I have a hard time coming up with sentiments, so this works well for me.   I used one of my dies to cut out my image and sentiment and while it was still in the die, I sponged some red ink around the images. I added a strip of green card stock that I punched some snowflakes using a border punch.  I added some red ribbon down the middle of it.  I added a bow and attached 3 charms to the brad holding the bow together.  I added a few pearls in the corners.  Again it is hard to tell in the picture, but I added some sparkle to the fur on Margaret's hat and dress and also to the ornaments she is holding.
Hope you like both of my creations today....

I will have some more creations with these new awesome stamp sets soon, so keep checking back to see what I have come up with.

Repeat Impressions What IF Wednesday Sketch Challenge

It’s WHAT IF? Wednesday
and time for a new sketch challenge!
The sketch that Wendy designed for the Rock
Stars to follow is:

Here is my take on the Sketch:

I have used "8802-N, Penguin Tree" from Repeat Impressions.
I stamped the Penguin Tree onto cryogen card stock and colored the few areas with my copics.  For the star I used my Gold Pearl Pen and added some glitter before it dried.  I also added some Glitter Liner in Holo Iridescent to the fur parts on the hats.  You can't really see the sparkle in the picture, but it is there.  I will try and take a better picture and replace the above with it.....  I used some new stretchy ribbon that I got last weekend and I made a bow with it and used a jeweled brad to secure it.  Hope you like it.....

Head on over to the House That Stamps Built blog and
see what the rest of the Rock Stars have created with
this great sketch.  While you are there why not enter
a creation that you have done following the sketch.

The rules are really simple......

but if you would like to include our designs we would really love to see them!
Plus you will get an additional entry in our random.org drawing
for using our stamps in your submissions! Simply create a
card based on the sketch, upload your card to your blog

Lots of Layers at Sweet Stamps

Today our challenge at Sweet Stamps blog is Lot of Layers.  This is an awesome challenge, we want to see "LAYERS", but be sure to use a Sweet Stamps stamp....

Anyone can enter, but if you use a Sweet Stamps rubber stamp you get two entries into the challenge for a chance to win a $20 shopping spree. Visit the design team blog and you will see what everyone on the Design team has done.

Here is my creation:

I used "Gingerbread Boy & Girl DUO Large 222", they are stamped onto cryogen card stock and colored with copics. There is also a smaller version of the "Gingerbread Boy and Girl DUO Small 220", I will be using those on the inside of my card when I get a chance to finish the inside. I decided to cut the Gingerbread Boy and Girl out and then I mounted them on green cardstock and then again on red card stock.  I also used the sentiment "Gingerbread Wishes 9105".  The sentiment is also stamped onto cryogen card stock and mounted onto red card stock.  For my card I have about 10 layers of card stock and dp papers.  My DP paper is from the Authentique Wonder paper pad, this pad is loaded with some really great Christmas designs.  I added some swirly white pearl designs and colored those with my red copic marker so that the white pearls didn't get lost in all my DP.

What do you think????  Do I have enough layers????

Color Challenge at Totally Stampalicious

This week's challenge at Totally Stampalicious is a Color Challenge !!!!!  You must use the colors Orange, Purple and Black on your creations !!!!

Check out my creation:

Today I used Witch Brawd and one of the sentiments that come with her.  I really like that these stamps come with an image and several sentiments for you to use on your creation.  I always have a hard time with sentiments, I never know what to use or to say.  I stamped Witch Brawd onto Cryogen white card stock and colored her with copics.  I used some of my new Spellbinder Dies - Labels 23 and Grand Labels 23 to cut her out and to create my shaped card.  I'm loving these Grand Dies.... My papers are some that I had in my stash.  I added some black pearls to the curves on the orange card stock. I added some ribbon across the top of my card and made a bow and added a jeweled brad to the center of my bow.  Look closely at the bow and you will see a little spider charm that I added.....

Here's a close up of  my jeweled brad and my little spider charm:

I don't usually do many Halloween cards or things, so this was kinda fun to do.  This stamp reminds me of my mother long ago who used to dress up as a witch on Halloween, her outfit was purple, her hat black and she had a green wig.  I really miss her...... She died back in 1998 from Breast Cancer. This one is for you MOM......

Hope you like my creation !!!!

Clean and Simple at Sweet Stamps

Today our challenge at Sweet Stamps blog is Clean and Simple.  This is an awesome challenge just be sure not to go overboard on embellies, but be sure to use a Sweet Stamps stamp....

Anyone can enter, but if you use a Sweet Stamps rubber stamp you get two entries into the challenge for a chance to win a $20 shopping spree. Visit the design team blog and you will see what everyone on the Design team has done.

Here is my creation:

I decided to do a technique that Stacey demonstrated on Saturday at the Heirloom Stamp Convention in York, PA.  I used the Cheery Lynn Oriental Butterfly die and the awesome sentiment "Butterfly Kisses". I stamped the Butterfly Kisses sentiment onto cryogen card stock with black ink and used a Marianne Creatable Labels 154 die to cut it out.  I then used the same die to cut out the peachy color cardstock. I cut out around the one embossed line on the cut out from the cryogen, so I could use the peachy color as a mat.   I cut a piece of the peachy card stock big enough for the butterfly and before I cut it out, I adhered some  2 1/2" Scor tape to the front of the card stock.  I ran it through my machine a few times to make sure it cut through the card stock and the adhesive.  I took the die cut butterfly and pulled the backing off and sprinkled with ultra fine glitter to make it glittery.  This is the technique that Stacey showed at the York Convention, it is one that I never did, so it may not be new to everyone, it is to me....  I added some ribbon and a simple bow.  The lovely sparkle paper is from one of the new paper pads that Sweets Stamps now has called "Summer Breeze" by First Edition.  I love all the papers in these pads, some are glittery and some aren't and they all mix and match so they can be used with each other.  Check out all the paper pads that are now in the store, you will want one of each....

This is my Clean and Simple card, it was so very hard not to keep adding things and to keep it simple, but I think I did okay with it.  What do you think????

Be sure to visit Sweet Stamps blog and see what the rest of the team has created for you.   And please join in on the fun!

Emboss It at Totally Stampalicious

This week's challenge at Totally Stampalicious is Emboss It. We want to see some type of embossing, whether it be dry or heat, on your card!!

Check out my creation:

Today I used Franklin Bear and one of the sentiments that come with him.  I really like that these stamps come with an image and several sentiments for you to use on your creation.  I always have a hard time with sentiments, I never know what to use or to say.  I stamped Franklin Bear onto Cryogen card stock and colored him with copics.  For my embossing, I used a Cheery Lynn Lattice 2 die, instead of cutting it, I just used my embossing mat and embossed the lattice onto my card front.

Here's a closer look at my embossing and Franklin Bear:

I made a gatefold card, and just embossed the lattice onto the 2 front panels.  I added some black pearls to the embossed design where the lines cross.  I added some dotted ribbon and a bow.

Don't forget to check out the Totally Stampalicious blog to see what the other DT members have created for inspiration....  And don't forget to stop by the Totally Stampalicious Store to get some of these awesome stamps......  AND CHECK OUT THE NEW RELEASES !!!!!!
